I can see why my school choose this book

This really is a pretty good book with an excellent overview of many issues faced by today's nurses and student nurses. However there was a lot of repetition, for which it received 4 stars, (but perhaps the authors did this on purpose to drill what I found to be fairly dry reading into our heads?). This book may not go completely in depth into the subject materials as it seems to be more of a broad based introductory reading but it more than makes up with the abundant offerings of outside sources it provides for one to be able to fully explore any further issues or questions that have caught your attention.

A great companion to have handy and I don't have lots of notes to take as the book is right in front of me. It is easy to follow. I love having this and of course as usual Amazon has the best price by far!

The book is compact and smaller than a regular textbook but the print is large enough for easy reading. This book has the same outline and formatting as the other nursing books in the Elsevier/Evolve series.
